So I'll be travelling to Kochi this month and have a few questions. Would be really grateful if you could answer any (or all of them).

1. I'll be staying in Kochi for 3 days, with one day reserved for travelling to Munnar. So, is it better to hire a taxi/car for travelling to Munnar or is local bus better? Does the local bus travel consistently back and forth?

From what I've gathered online, Kerala Tourism runs a Munnar tour from the bus station itself for INR 500, but it starts at 9 am and drops you back at around 5-6 pm. But I cannot find a bus from Munnar to Kochi at around 5-6 online.

What's the best way to travel to Munnar then? If one books a cab/taxi, do they also take you to the sightseeing points or one has to reach Munnar and take that Kerala Tourism package?

1. Should one hire a taxi/cab for travelling to local tourist destinations in Kochi, or is local transportation better more economical/better (Metro/Autos)?

2. Any suggestion on places to visit are always welcome.
