Jeff Deist is a writer for the Koch-funded libertarian Moses institute. In this article he tries to say that stakeholder capitalism is the gateway to socialism, communism and fascism.
Why is this relevant? recently there has been a switch in economists and the general public’s mindset. People no longer want a corporation to make as much money as possible but also consider workers rights, pollution, quality of life,.. that means: unions, social security, paying for pollution,..
This isn’t in the Kochs best interest. Combined with the fact that David & Charles started a firm in 2016 to manage their own wealth, have backed numerous hedgefunds and trade energy through Koch Ag & Energy Solutions, the last thing they want is regulations or a speculation tax. They don’t want ordinary people benefiting from the stock market.
We need to keep an eye on campaign& lobbying efforts in Washington and NYC.
