I thought âmicrohistoriesâ were more about like one specific guy or event, such as Carlo Ginzburgâs The Cheese and the Worms which is just about one random dude. A history of salt is too broad to qualify imo.

I'm sure Salt is good. The history of salt seems like it would be an epic possibly millions year story.
