Obviously the Tucker interview fell flat for conservative talking points cause Putin just doesnt care. Tucker was being disrespected and in turn had to throw a few jabs and in the end, it felt contentious and, worse yet, boring. Alex, drive time conservative shows, youtube cons and FOX News all basically had to punt the interview cause it gave them nothing to work with. Then we get Alex and Icke going at it as the result of the bad Tucker interview.

Listening to KF, seeing what the YT cons are discussing and what the drive time radio cons are saying it has never been more clear that the right is simply burnt out on talking points and have no leader to promote new ones.

Alex is a follower, we all know this. He does not create narratives, he follows them, adds made up details and acts like he did create them some time later. Jesse Watters, aka evil Ross Geller, lacks charisma, certainty and experience to actually create and promote narratives. There are no radio hosts at all worth anyones time. They are all grifters and old heads from Dan Bongino to Glenn Beck to Hannity and Levin. The new faces, Clay Travis and Buck Sexton, are boring, lack vigor and don't matter to conservatism. Rush Limbaugh being dead, bless the gods, has ended radio as a con juggernaut and his ability to stir up new narratives died with him.

That leaves the YT cons. Tim Pool is a follower who relies on guests and headline reading. He is little more than a poor man's Alex Jones with more savvy for avoiding getting demonetized. Rogan has a huge podcast but still fits the YT cons genre and the strength and weakness of Rogan is he plays the middle of the road game. He constantly says dumb shit, gets corrected on air and should never be taken seriously. He does not create narratives, his guests might and he may go along, but he himself does not create new narratives. DailyWire and Shapiro desperately WANT to be narrative creators, but they dont actually create any, they merely adopt existing ones and build off them. Guys like Matt Walsh are single issue flamethrowers and Candace Owens is constantly in contention with Shapiro. Other smaller YT cons dont create narratives and those like Fresh and Fit or Andrew Tate (manosphere is def YT con) exist only to fester existing narratives for monetary gain.

The point in ALL that is to say that the right desperately misses Tucker Carlson on Fox. After Bill O'Reilly was ousted, Tucker slid right in and criticism and mock him as we may (and should!) Tucker was damn good at what he did for con talking points day in and out on Fox News. The time slot matters, but personality is what builds narratives and Tucker was a narrative builder. The issue is he was good at it in a very specific and controlled environment just like Rush Limbaugh. Limbaugh thrived on his own, free to say what he wanted with no push back cause in the end he was just a mad man who wanted those he didnt like to be persecuted.

With no leadership, no world building, the right in basically playing an open world game with no dialogue, no purpose, no objective, no controls other than a joystick to move forward, back, left and right. The Biden admin is boring in that there is nothing going on and really hasn't been for 12-18 months. The annual be scared of brown people scare wares off quick and wore off quicker than expected in 2023. The border convoy had a 3way failure of those who went saw nothing actually going on, grifters grifted and plenty were afraid it was a psyop to arrest them a la Jan 6th fears. Alex and his ilk have scared the average conservative who would attend such things so much that they wont go to anything that isnt an official get together like a Trump event with Trump there.

The amount of conservatives that are utterly terrified of being arrested (understandably considering their media of choice) skyrocketed in the last year plus after more arrests and convictions sent many to prison where they are losing their right to vote and have a firearm. Alex and the cons cannot even get the narrative right here. Half the time it was the feds and Antifa who did all the bad stuff, but the other half it was a peaceful protest. There is nobody to balance that and make it work, nobody to fit it into a nice paragraph for all to use. Alex sucks at it and every single one of them know theyre lying and thats the problem. You build lies upon lies and cannot make them work eventually then here we circle back.
