I was given this Andre De Villiers 2017 mini-cleaver prototype by a friend of the family who knew i was recently taking an interest in pocket knives. He won it in a raffle on Facebook along with a gun. I am not sure how many owners it has had.
The knife has a bit of play back and forth while closed and favors the show side. I think this could be fixed by fiddling with the pivot screws a bit but I haven’t attempted it in fear of damaging it. The blade play is very minimal when open. The blade edge shows what looks like rolling across most of the edge but I think it is minor and only rolling. Apologies if the videos aren’t that great at showing the edge. The pocket clip is fairly scuffed up. While it flies open reliably it is quite stiff closing back up and has never dropped shut once the lock is disengaged. I have never cut anything with it or carried it personally, however I have fidgeted with it on a few occasions. As far as I have been able to find it is likely s35vn blade steel and the lowest price I have been able to find on any of the Adv mini cleaver models has been $420 or $450. I wouldlike to get $350 out of this(if I am being crazy with this value please explain to me why).
Shipping included in price(Conus only). Willing to look at your trade offers of lefty friendly knives. My current knives of interest are the mkm isonzo(hawkbill), giantmouse ace biblio, spyderco manix 2, benchmade north fork, we knives elementum(blue ti).
Thanks swappers!
Edit: SOLD SOLD SOLD for $335
