Looking for subwoofer recommendations otherwise, I'll just take advantage of return policies and try a few. My listening space is 12ft x 12ft (apartment living) but I have great insulation in my building so can play loudly without issue.

My bookshelf speakers are the Fives (upgrading to the Sevens soon!) and I know everyone will probably say go to another brand for the sub but I just can't get over how ugly SVS or similar subs are (personal preference is to have a nice looking setup that sounds great, but doesn't need to be the best thing ever).

From a visual POV I like the SPL series more but curious if 1) people think they are much better and 2) if 10" or 12" is more suitable. Any thoughts on these options?
