I’ve had 13 hours of lessons and am ready to buy my first setup.

Looking for a user friendly accessible all around kite. Ultimately want to progress into big air.

Some top options seem to be Core XR, Duotone Evo or North Orbit. I found this used 12m XR5 for a pretty decent price:

It has professional repairs and is being sold by a shop/school. I’m guessing it was in their rental fleet. Link includes pics of repairs.

A new 12m XR6 seems to go for about $1500, so this used XR5 is about half off.

But I hear soooo many conflicting opinions about used. There are so many factors: New vs used vs used with repairs, professional va amateur repairs, for newbies vs experienced kiters. It’s hard to sort through the noise.

Any thoughts y’all?
