So long story short, I am the KM for a high volume national chain steakhouse. Being the biggest of the management team I often get the daunting task of being the bouncer if things up front get out of hand. I have handled multiple instances without using force but feel they often take waaaayyyyyy to long to resolve. Has anyone else been in a similar situation and have any good practices for de-escalating the situation quickly? I really don't like getting the cops involved because of their response time and the bad PR but maybe I should more often.
