Starting a new job at a Japanese Habachi Steakhouse and Sushi restaurant. They are wanting to start me off at 12.00 an hour with around 50 to 60 hours a week which I'm totally fine with, but they really seem set on moving me to Salary instead of the 14.00 an hour I'm asking for. I understand why they want me on salary so they don't have to pay me overtime, but I have no clue as to what a normal salary would be for a wok cook position in this restaurant. Can ya'll help me out here a little about what I should ask for? 25 year old male, 4 years kitchen experience, Culinary associates degree, living in Texas and the position is just a wok cook while prepping as well.
