My grandfather is Italian, and he passed away before I was born, I was never able to meet him.
My grandmother would usually make a lot of cookies and Italian sweets around Christmas time, such as Almond Crescent Cookies, Wine cookies, and a recipe from my grandfather. Torcetti are really simple with just 3 cups of sifted flour, two sticks of butter, activated dry yeast and water.
Since my grandmother's passing in 2021 I've done my best to recreate the recipe from a scrapped up piece of paper I try to preserve by keeping it between the pages of another relic cookbook.
I just wanted to share this all with you, thank you for your support, and say happy holidays to everyone here. Cheers ✌️
