I just got a voicemail from a spam number, which was odd because they haven't ever left one before. I know such calls are scams because they always start with the same exchange of my actual phone number. I'm assuming they have some sort of spoofing software that creates the same exchange as yours in the hopes you'll think it's something legit. Hopes denied, though.

Anyway, the voicemail is a recorded woman's voice saying she is from the "warranty department" and is calling to say the warranty on my vehicle is about to expire and I need to call to renew it. It says, "Warranties are time-sensitive so please call soon."

I've never heard of this scam and even searched this sub for "warranty," and there were no results. Anyone encountered this yet? Has /u/kitboga ever run into them on a stream?
