I know it's a dumb reference because Disney's Hercules is wildly incorrect regarding Greek myth. However, the part in Hercules, when the fates tell Hades that all this stuff will happen unless Hercules fights, is kind of similar to the Cthaeh. Like the fates, the Cthaeh knows the outcome of every situation. Idk maybe it's dumb but it seems like a cool parallel to me. And rothfuss usually pulls things from history or myth and subtly incorporates it into the story. Plus the fates aren't usually depicted as good guys in Greek myth. I wonder if that's where he got the idea for the Cthaeh?
