As a casual fan of the books, tell me something I probably missed when reading them.

When Kvothe is hunting bandits for the Mayer,, Dedan (sp) the mercenary tells a story of two men taking a short cut through the Eld to get back to the road faster. They then run into Feurlian and one of the two brothers runs off with her. This then happens to Kvothe and his crew. They see a map that shows a faster route through the Eld to the road. On the way they see Feurlian and Kvothe follows her.

Thanks I'll update the post. It's been awhile since I read the books. I've been listening to them again on Audible so my spelling is lacking.
