This is something Rothfuss has said about The Princess and Mr. Whiffle picture book.
He also talked about how it didn't have a trick ending. That the truth of it was there to see in the pictures, but people almost always ignore them in favour of the sweet narrative.
In the video I watched, he looked out meaningfully at the audience and said something to the effect that this is important in his writing. I can't recall at the moment, I'll rewatch later.
I googled the book in order to share a link to the video, when I came across the description in this post's subject line.
If the KKC shares this... feature, what do you all think the sweet, the horrible, and the true endings will be?
And will there be any overlap?
