How do I unlock the Mysterious Figure as Aqua?

I beat Aquas story and made a separate save file for the Final Episode and beat it then beat Vanitas’ Lingering Sentiment. I was told that the MF should be unlocked on the older Aqua save file now but he’s not. What am I doing wrong?
