Lagomorph Survivors Hint at Future Expansion?

Do you guys think that the lagomorph survivors are a sneak peek at an armor set for a future lagomorph expansion/boss/encounter, or is it purely for the Easter holiday aesthetic?

I know we still have a lot of content that has been plainly announced already that has yet to be fulfilled but here recently I've been finding myself day dreaming more and more of things to come beyond the horizon of wave 4.

What are your thoughts? I've heard some whispers of things to come beyond wave 4, what all do we know, or think we know, concerning such content?
