I've poked around a bit and the community has some interesting views on Shin's end game army(s), his lieutenant's and fellow commanders etc...
One thing that may have been missed is that Shin's conquest is far from over and even then that's going off historical timelines, who knows what Hara Sensei has in mind, SPOILER AHEAD With shin's historic loss at chu END SPOILER I wonder if Hara will twist this in a different way, point is though that this story likely has its entire current length again and possibly more till a proper conclusion if its sole aim is Qin's Unifications camping. SPOILER AHEAD I know Han, Wei and Yan fall relatively quickly and it's Only Zhao, Chu and Qi that hold much of a fight END SPOILER. But this still provides years of content, and if Hara Sensei continues the story which I don't think he will, but that would add even more emphasis on the following point.
I hold some serious reservations thinking that Hairou is going to be the Infantry Deputy Commander at like 50-60 years of age with shin being a great general of the heavens. I do hope that we hold some OG's throughout the entire series but I also see it that undeniably most HSU old guards don't fit descriptions befitting a Great General of the Heavens top ranks. The only HSU members that come to mind at the moment that fit the above in my eyes are; Naki, Suugen, garo, Denyuu, Ryuseen, bow brothers, Kyo Rei, En and Sou Sui being possible characters that grow alongside Shin till end game. Apologies if I missed a major character
Now this leads me to two different thoughts, one; HSU will have a time skip that's somewhat lengthy like the two years after coalition and we see the unit redecorated to put true emphasis that this is the army belonging to the King's Unbreakable Sword, cause right now it really isn't, they have like three people maybe a few more actually capable of taking down generals or other high ranking members of enemy armies similar in size, let alone taking them down as seen in the latest ch 719 we saw Gaku Rai, a likely contender for 1 v 1 strength in HSU fucking romped in a single hit. I know the opposing general is backed up by the "strength of Seika" but to lose a top HSU member without even a fight... HSU needs some reform if they are to represent the army that holds the banner for QIN to rely upon, for Sei to rely upon.
The second place is like many others have said, its time for new members to start steering the rudder like Kanto, Kyou Rai or whatever the new Shyuu's name is that joined them. that's pretty cruisy as they'll just grow like Shin has over the pass years and that'd be all sweet but sad as we see the old guards die off.
I think the most exciting prospect though is that the unit will grow no matter what critism we have and I'm pretty keen to see what happens.
As a final word I do hope we see post war HSU moments or hopefully more chapters like the units return home to train recruits. Seeing everyone at shin's home may not be essential to the story but it sure as shit is the best fan service Kingdom fans have received apart from those few Kyou Kai moments.
