My memory is a bit foggy on this so forgive me if made some mistake here.
I don't know how things work in Western culture, but in Eastern culture (or at least in my place), if someone you know doesn't invite you to his wedding, he is pretty much indirectly letting you know that he doesn't treat you as a friend, at least someone important/close enough to come to his wedding. Even Mouten was invited ( I think) or at least aware that Ouhon was married meanwhile Shin was completely clueless for quite some time until Mouten told him.
So I was rather surprised that Shin still trying to befriend Ouhon despite what Ouhon had shown how he felt about Shin. In my opinion, at best, they are simply an acquaintance or colleagues level.
They aren't close enough to be friend but they have a bond that is deeper than that. They respect each other as rivals on the battlefield. The way Shin acts towards him is just is natural personality. I don't think Shin has any ideas that Ouhon is his close friend or something
