I broke my phone last week, and I didn't realize until a few days later how much my online friendships have died off.
For a long time, my phone was essentially molded to my hand; I always had someone to text, someone to talk to, a group to participate in, just SOMETHING. As of late, a lot of it has drifted away to the point that most people didn't even know I was without a phone for a few days.
But I miss the camaraderie. That's what I'm looking for today. I want to find someone to be the reason I keep checking my notifications even though I know I didn't feel my phone vibrate. I want to get dirty looks from my boss for texting too much. I want to have to bring a portable charger with me to work tomorrow to make sure my phone doesn't die and we can keep talking all day.
