A switch is basically someone who is a gentleman to start with. He helps you get out difficult situations and wins your trust. But in doing so he subtly tries to bring your submissive nature to the fore by making decisions for you.

You get so used to him, that you end up being dependant on him for smallest decisions. He knows you've fallen for him so he starts to control your mind. When the right time comes, he switches and brings his dominant side to the fore.
