So about 6ish months ago I started feeling pain. Very sharp pain lower left abdomen. I have has previous episodes of diverticulitis as i am diagnosed with it. I tried to brush it away, but the pain was severe so I went to the ER. They said it was a flare up and go on a liquid diet.
I saw zero signs of getting better so, i began to loose weigh due to being on a liquid diet for so long & went to the er again twice later that month. Same result each time. Anticeimophin (Tylenol) & suggest a liquid diet.
Originally weighed 201 Lbs : Today 173 LBs from dieting.
So July past same pain and as well as August. I went to the ER again in August were they finally refered me to a GI to get surgery done which was going to be expensive without insurance. Also, the wait times were ridiculous. A colonscopy Dec. 2023 & if surgery needed April 2024.
So, I ended up flying to Guatemala (End Of August 2 weeks) since it was cheaper and we have a family friend doctor over there. We did a colonscopy & turns out I was fine. Instead they deteced kidney stones and the doctor gave me pills (CYSTONE) to take for 2 months.
Took em. Felt better, but mid October hits and boom! Pain again. Stones never left.
So went to my regular doc and he sent me a reffered that took 1 month and a half to finally see a Urologist here. Again even worst sharp pain. Before I could at least work. Now I cant go to work. Dropped out of college semester and cant do any social activities without harsh pain.
Finally i see the urologist and he barely acknowledges me. He says I wont be seen till Dec. 23 after he sees the x rays.
All they gave me was Tamosulin and Tylenol, but both do not help.
These Kidney Stones hurt alot. They've made me feel depressed since all this happen and I am loosing my mind.
What can I do? Is there stronger medicine?
Can we hurry up this process? I talked to the doctor and he said there is not much he can do to hurry it up
Currently the kidney stones are 2mm in my ureter left side.
I have Medi-CAL accountable insurance.
I really need help advice. Cant handle this pain. Never felt anything like this and its every single day.
