Upon first hearing about this track I thought, “Cool, I don’t mind another movie song to hold us over until the next album comes out”.

But I think it’s no coincidence Cudi is making a song for Sonic. He’s actually a huge Sonic fan. I remember he put that video of Ye at his house a couple years ago on Instagram playing on the Sonic arcade machine so he must be a fan of the games, also around the time he was younger was the time when Sonic was big in gaming so he could of grown up with it. Also, going off the music video it looked like he had a ton of fun.

I’ve just been annoyed with some people (WestSubEver) saying he’s selling out because he’s doing movie songs now but this one totally checks out.

It’s such a shame that people think he’s a sell out because he’s finally accepted in the mainstream for the first time since the first two man on the moon albums (almost a decade). Let him have some fun he deserves it after all the shit he’s been through.
