How many years did it take to finally get to a decent level in Kickboxing?

I am about a year and a bit into kickboxing, I have done martial arts before so I have a slight advantage. I feel over last month I have been seeing a real improvement in regards to movement and my sparring but I'm obviously no where near considered good yet. How long did it take you to be a level you thought was decent compare to many?
