Here’s my experience!

ABOUT ME: I got a little birthday money and wanted to treat myself. I’ve perused all of the subreddits dedicated to yin/yang/kibbe and essences, watched all the YouTube, and tried my best to experiment with styles, but just couldn’t put my finger on where I landed with my essence or my yin-yang balance. I felt like 10 years ago I had a great style and naturally knew my lines, but years of body changes, life stressors, budget shrinkage, and lifestyle changes threw all of my “instincts” out of whack. I’m 33, female, and felt like I had lost my touch. The pandemic and lock down motivated me to put more effort into myself again, so here I am, trying my best to get back into my own groove. I employed the help Elyssa’s services and loved it. Details below.

THE EXPERIENCE:

-first I went to her site and saw that she has many different packages, I chose the personal harmony one, bc it seemed to cover what I was curious about, and was moderately priced. The sample report on her site seemed detailed and thorough, and very personalized.

-When I purchased it she reached out right away with a detailed list of the types of pictures she would need and with time options for a zoom call. I really liked the idea of a zoom call, bc she was best able to gage my personality and how it impacts and informs my essence. I really liked this aspect bc other similar services I had seen didn’t include this element.

-Our zoom call was scheduled for like the next week, maybe two weeks after purchase, which worked well for me! She was prompt, professional, engaging, fun, friendly, asked great questions, and our half hour zoom call felt very natural and I enjoyed talking with her.

-After the call I was supposed to send the pics...well I dragged my feet. But she sent a few friendly reminders and was very professional about the whole thing. She is very upfront at the time of purchase that reports can take up to 2 weeks to complete once the pictures are sent in.

-once I sent in my pics, she let me know the date the report would be done, and she was timely and I got it this afternoon!

THE REPORT:

-It was so personal and thoughtful and detailed, I really really love my report. My essence and body type were broken down in an easily understandable way, and suggestions of why certain outfits do or don’t work on me were polite and right on the money. She seemed to be able to pinpoint exactly where I was going right and wrong, and once i saw it, it was like a light bulb moment. She gave usable suggestions for how to tweak outfits, which lines do and don’t work on me, and the kinds of details I should be looking for that will bring harmony to my look.

-The pictures I sent had a few mark-ups on them pointing out my body proportions, my lines, my yin/yang balance and my features. (This was all done really respectfully of course). I found it al very useful and learned a lot about myself and the aspects of me that add to my unique beauty. The language that she uses is insightful and validating.

-In case you’re curious my total personal harmony was determined to be “yin witty classic-gamine”, which I totally agree with!

TAKEAWAY:

-I would absolutely recommend her services and look forward to possibly doing some sort of consultation in the future after I’ve put together a few outfits and tried out some of my line and essence suggestions.
