Forging Futures: Dis
Post Body

Hello everyone! It seemed like a number of people enjoyed this segment when we touched on House Brobnar, so I decided to continue with the discussion and point it on to the next house. Dis!

Previous Thread: Brobnar

Dis is famous for being the control centric house in Keyforge. Creature removal, Key and amber manipulation, hand disruption, Dis can make every part of the game annoying for your opponent. The flavor of evil and and destructive demons fits this style of gameplay very well. The disruptive focus of the house brings in a lot of strengths, but sometimes a clear focus on where to close the game can be hard to see if you can't creatures out, so it feels a lot better when you have another house better at bursting through to your last keys.

For my personal thoughts, Dis has always been one of the stronger factions, but it is not extremely oppressively to the game for the most part. It mostly just has a lot of generically good effects that are hard to be bad compared to other houses that sometimes get more niche and limiting abilities that can drop a decks consistency. I would like to see more affects that are unique for them that don't just scream generic control tools as well (especially with a new control house on the block). Things like utilizing discard as a mechanic like we see with the Yurks I think could be explored more in a cool way. Cards that self impose limitations could also be extremely cool if done right, something like with Pit Lord, but maybe executed better.

With that out of the way, what do you guys think? What aspects of the house need helped out, and what aspects need toned down? Is there any mechanics or ideas you want to see picked up or dropped? How do you want to see this House in the future. Let me know!
