Forging Futures: Brobnar
Post Body

Hello everyone! As people are playing and settling into the new set more, I wanted to open up more discussion on where members of the community were wanting to see the Houses of the game go. I figured I would start a series of posts spaced out every few days where people can discuss individual Houses and how they would like to see them develop in the games future. I will happily to continue this if people seem to like it, I just love reading discussion on this game and I though something like this would spark some!

With all that out of the way, lets get to today's topic, and that's the future of house Brobnar. And what a house to start off with! Brobnar is a house is a clearly defined identity, big giant dudes that love to fight. For the three sets it has been active, the House hasn't strayed too far from that idea, with new cards and strategies often trying to capitalize on the idea of making creatures better at fighting and reaping benefits from that. Though that isn't always enough to win at Keyforge. The house is known for it weaknesses in areas such as amber and artifact control, as well as being vulnerable to board clears.

For my personal thoughts, Brobnar has always been among the weakest houses in the games short history. For the future I hope it gets stronger/more consistent amber control, as what we have seen in the past just doesn't show up enough to really benefit most decks. I also hope it can get more initiative when playing cards, maybe by boosting the power of creatures play affects or allowing creatures to fight or enrage and ready when they come into play, just to maintain tempo. Speaking of enrage, Brobnar more then anyone else should be able to dance with the mechanic more, and though it has been weak in the past, I think this last set has shown how useful the enrage status can be. Brobnar creatures getting extra abilities when enraged could be really easy to implement and cool to see I think.

Let me know what you guys think! What aspects of the house need helped out, and what aspects need toned down. Is there any mechanics or ideas you want to see picked up or dropped? Would love to hear what you all have to say!
