Swap Widgit with no Mars creatures in hand

I as wondering if there was a ruling on what happens when you use Swap Widgit when you have no Mars creatures in hand?

From my understanding when you use a card, you do everything that is possible on the card, so using Swap Widgit, I put Grommid back into my hand, then have no other differently named creatures, so can not do the second part of Swap Widgit. The second part of Swap Widgit is not worded as optional, and the card does not provide a way for me to prove that I cannot do the second part of the card, which feels odd for competitive game.
