I suffer from depression. I understand that ketamine therapy increases neuroplasticity but I have a theory i want to get your thoughts on.
Unless I have new thoughts to replace my negative ones and introduce them when the mind is made open to them during treatment, my brain will just revert to old neural pathways that have defined my depression for many many years.
So first, does that make any sense? And second, how would I go about bringing new thoughts into my mind that are healthier for me?
Any advice is welcome and very appreciated !!
Yes, it makes sense. To replace negative thoughts, practice cognitive behavioral techniques, use positive affirmations, set achievable goals, engage in mindfulness, and surround yourself with positivity.
