IV infusion tapering - what worked for you?
Post Body

I am curious what tapering schedule has worked for folks. My clinic doesn’t have a standard, they seem to let you schedule just whenever. So I’ve just been following the rec of one nurse who may or may not know what’s well evidenced.

For me: I am in month 5 now of getting infusions and feeling mentally great. I don’t want to lose it! After my initial loading doses I took 4 weeks until the next one and it was a bad call. I needed a few sessions close together to make up for lost ground. Since then I’ve been on a really slow taper (3 at one a week, 3 at 10 days, 3 at two weeks, and now I just did my first three weeks) - it seems to be working well for me. I have actually been feeling better and better throughout this time. After my initial experience I’d rather be conservative with the taper even if I’m having to shell out a ton of money.
