I started ketamine therapy last week with the hope of it helping decrease my dependence on methadone and anxiety. I had bad headaches after the first treatment and after season two it was horrible. The headaches were so bad I could not sleep for a full day. My anxiety which had been getting better with the help of a therapist and tapering down slowly I had to increase my dose and lost 3 mths of my taper. It’s day four and I still can’t focus and headaches are so bad I can’t focus at my job in healthcare. I am thinking of stopping treatments, my mental health is so much worse than when I started. I’ve done extensive research on the issue and my dosage of alprazolam can mitigate the effectiveness of the ketamine benefits. I feel my doctor should have been aware of this or discussed it before charging me a lot of money. If it had helped I’d pay anything but I feel so much worse now I don’t have faith in this provider. He knew my medications and the potential contraindications. Anyone else on Xanax have issues with the treatments.
