1) obviously, IRL, we use launch windows and such to plan out when craft get launched to take advantage of gravitational assists. With KSP it seems that it's 'launch' -> 'time warp' to some window -> make use of window -> repeat. Possibly having multiple craft in orbit and using alarm reminders to burn at various times, but it seems like it'd be neater to plan ahead of time
-> also, for orbital planning using in game tools (maneuver markers in the orbit) it'd be nice to turn off the "normal" arrows, since most of the maneuvers I need to make don't involve any normal corrections (yay planar orbits)
2) I've launched landers just to have the fuel/engine assembly below the lander be too "long" for the lander struts. It'd be nice to have a sandbox where I could test my lander subassembly before putting it into orbit, rather than having to orbit every piece of equipment, even for testing alone.
