With the default Kerbal solar system getting to orbit was fairly straightforward - great thrust, lots of fuel. Especially easy with fuel tank, engine and part scaling mods.
But with the Real Solar System mod, having a full size earth, I can barely if at all get to orbit despite my most cheekily designed rockets. Find myself running out of propellant about 6-7000m/s - if I angle my flight perfectly then maybe get to orbit occasionally (with very light or no payloads).
Any tips or advice on how I can make a rocket that can more reliably get to Earth Orbit with some propellant to spare? What am I getting wrong?
