Very new to the game (thanks Epic Games!), and absolutely loving it despite feeling like a caveman with a rocket manual…
I’m at the very early stages, no upgraded buildings, but I had unlocked some of the science, enough to build a rocket for some tourist missions. Figured it a good way to earn some cash. At this stage I hadn’t even managed to get a ship into orbit.
Enter…my first tourist mission. I took what I had learned, got into space and my last stage was a new design…a terrier as I realised that with no atmosphere I can actually use a small engine. After the joy of taking my first tourists in space, I burned off all my fuel. Having fun…detached the crew capsule and command pod. And I only managed to get my first ship in orbit. Total random chance. After the initial elation, I realised I have no way to break this orbit…I’m literally flying around. I can’t get out and push, I’ve taken my first tourists and stuck them into orbit
My question is, the orbit goes out to about 500k and skims the planet at around 55k but I’m seeing no degradation. If I turn the ship so flat end is retrograde at around 55k will I be able to break the orbit? I have had no success too far, and I can’t stop thinking of my my tourist flying around space 😂help! 😂
