I’ve been to several checkups back and forth to the eye center and the first thing they do is have me try to read the eye chart. It was annoying at first especially only seeing little to no improvement vision wise in my bad eye (left eye). I am a graphic designer so I begged for a prescription and was denied because it would be a waste of money. They then agreed to do a temporary one in my two week follow up.
In one week I had extreme redness in my bad eye and showed (texted) the nurse who assisted with my surgery the photos and suggested I immediately be seen. Turns out I had stopped taking my prednisone steroid too early. FOLLOW DIRECTIONS!! I was re-prescribed drops and the redness went away. I am now off all drops. Eyes are fine, no pain whatsoever.
All that’s left is the checkup to make sure the disease is not still progressing and my bad vision. I Did show major improvement in my right eye....but that’s not the one that needed it. Doc says I will always have some haze in my bad eye because I have a scratch in the center of my cornea. Sucks. She also says that I will be getting RGP lenses to give my eye a new surface. I am excited to get a final prescription when the time comes, but limbo really blows.
