Hi guys! I've been lurking in this thread for a few months. I recently got diagnosed with keratoconus and I have my worse eye scheduled for CXL next month. What have you been told to do in the weeks/months before this procedure? My doctor had me get punctal plugs put in both eyes, wants me to use artificial tears every two hours, use a warm compress on my eyes in the morning and night, use erythromycin ointment on my eyes every night, and take Omega-3 supplements. This seems very excessive and it's harder than it sounds to keep up with this routine, especially since I work a demanding job with different hours all the time. It also doesn't help that I HATE anything in or near my eyes. Even getting my eyes dilated for a routine eye exam is a process.
