This is purely in the context of RAP music. Not drill, not "hip-hop", not any other genre. Just RAP. Ive spent some time researching and listening to African RAP (the English ones) and I can say even the most upcoming SA rappers sound way better than the shit we make. And I'm not even trying to be bias.
Today for instance, I discovered this SA artist on Spotify with less that 50k plays a month but the music gave my eardrums multiple orgasms. I wont mention any artist names to avoid bias once again but coming from someone who spends thousands of hours on Spotify and YouTube listening to and discovering new music, I think it's safe to to conclude the above.
Do you agree with me or not? Ps, bring some facts if you're arguing.
