As of 3/26 I have implemented some new updates to our automoderator configuration which should help combat potential spam/bot accounts.
Post reporting & How it works
All posts can now be reported and when the post gains a certain amount of reports, it will be removed. This allows our subreddit members to moderate KentuckyHotwives when a moderator is not available or actively monitoring this subreddit.
This feature is a tool to be utilized in the correct manner and abuse of the report & remove feature will result in this feature being altered or removed entirely.
Other added features
Accounts with negative karma will not be permitted to post OR leave comments on posts. Furthermore, any account that is new, will not be permitted to post in KentuckyHotwives. Anti-spam detection and ban evasion safeguards were also increased due to recent events.
Sticky comment on posts
All posts will now trigger automod to post a comment and go over how to report posts as well as a link to our rules. This is extremely annoying to most people but essential to those who are new to Reddit.
When or why should I report a post?
Post should be reported if they violate Reddit’s community guidelines or the guidelines of this particular subreddit. Some other reasons to report a post can include: dick pictures being posted, suspected bot accounts, posts that are not relevant to the HW lifestyle, personals posts, and off topic posts just to name a few.
Why do we need all this?
The idea is to keep r/KentuckyHotwives authentic and free of spam and or other nonsense, as to cater to our nearly 3k members. If moderation was not implemented this subreddit would be dead and full of bot accounts and off topic posts.
