I’m in search of privately owned convenient stores that are locally “big deals.” I like to see what they have to offer that catches the local’s eye. A “best kept secret” type of place.

We have three in Shelby County. it’sConvenient Food Mart offers scrumptious made from scratch breakfast sandwiches, piled high BLT’s, hand Pattied 1/2 pound burgers, hand breaded cod sandwiches, Frozen Milo’s tea, homemade specials complete with fried cornbread and four made from daily offering scratch sides and a medley of four flavored soft serve ice creams. B&N has a more restaurant feel and offers slow smoked barbecue meats, fresh ground burgers, homemade sides and desserts, to name a few. Both places sell gas and other normal convenient store items. The third option, Cariss’s is an old country store with homemade everything.

Well, I sound like an ad, but my purpose is to explain the type of places, I’d like to visit. The place with the most cars without the fancy yelp awards. I’d appreciate any suggestions.
