Wife and I are visiting this weekend (she is running the half-marathon). Wanted to get opinions on things to do/eat/drink.
I have about 2 hours to bike while she is running. I plan on taking the "County Bike Trail" north to Racine. Seems to be about 10 miles which should be 20 total. Pretty doable for me in two hours. Are there any sights I should stop at along the way? Is the route south a better route?
What are the best breweries/pubs? Favorite beer types are IPA and barrel aged stout.
Best place for a burger and cheese curds?
Good bakery or breakfast place?
Any attractions that we should look to do? We like outdoor stuff but also enjoy museums. We've enjoyed the Kohler Museum, visiting the Carr cheese factory in Fennimore, the USS Cobia in Manitowoc, and love bike rides through the woods.
Neat little Kenosha History Museum with a great store inside with all kinds of Kenosha memorabilia.
Also, can't believe anyone didn't bring up pizza haha. Vill D'Carlo is downtown and it's excellent among other places.
