Taira Genzan was a descendant of the main line of Koei Style founders, the style was however lost long before Genzan's time. Genzan later found the archives of the style & reinvented it (with only 2 techniques being viable at the time, Blink & Rakshasa's Palm).

However, what I'm more interested in is what martial art Genzan practiced BEFORE he reinvented the Koei Style, as I seriously doubt that someone with ZERO martial knowledge was able to completely reinvent a lost martial art.

I also want to know more about his history with Kuroki & the Nikos, as aside from Kiryu he seems to be a complete outsider of the whole Gaoh/Worm/Nikos plot. How did he know Kuroki, just through assassinations, or did they help each other out like Gensai & Niko? How did he know Ohma's Niko, just through reputation or had they met before? Were they some kind of friends, accomplices or enemies beforehand? Did he even know Tiger Niko, or did Niko just know of Genzan? (I personally like to think Tiger & Taira were collaborating personally & Tiger didn't just send his student to a random master).
