SRT radiation
Post Body

Has anyone ever had SRT radiation for Keloids? It’s known to be upwards of 90% effective at preventing keloids from forming after surgical removal. So far I have only really seen it offered in Miami at places specializing in keloid treatment.

Comments

The technology has been around a long time. It’s superficial radiation, which means the radiation ONLY penetrates a 1mm or so deep. The company has been promoting it for a few years now. I don’t know if the 90% effectivity rate is accurate as I don’t believe there have been enough cross studies done. So you’re basically taking them for their word for it and that’s not to say it isn’t true. It’s offered more places than just Miami.

I’d also add, you would want to be careful of what part of your body you’re treating. Head and neck would be places to avoid IMO

I believe if you go to the Sensus website, they might have Dr. finder
