Better late then never!
Post Body

I've been drinking store bought kefir for awhile now, and most recently signed up for a pastured food club that offers raw dairy where I tried a few raw kefirs.. finally decided to get some grains and do it myself.. so good, and easy! I got a TBSP of grains for $8.

Just had my second batch today and it was delicious, perfectly rich and creamy, great consistency. Was good on it's own but blended it with a spoon of Mount Hagen Instant Decaf coffee, some Ceylon cinnamon, a little vanilla, and a teaspoon of raw honey, delicious! Tried to savor it but when your thirsty it goes down quick and smooth lol

I've been doing a 24 hour first ferment on the counter with 16oz of full cream raw A2/A2 cow's milk, giving it little swirls throughout the day, strain out the grains when I get home from work and leave the strained kefir on the counter for a few hours until I go to bed then put it in the fridge until the following night, drink, rinse(haven't rinsed either jar yet lol but probably will at least once a week/month), and repeat!

I get a gallon of the milk for $12, which will last me 8 days drinking two cups (16oz) a day, great cost savings considering the cheapest halfway decent pasteurized store bought versions I used to get were anywhere from $6-8 for QT (32oz) and even a half gallon of Kefir from the food club is $15.

Plus it's a fun process and will always have a fresh cup on hand, the gift that keeps on giving!

Anyways, just wanted to share in my appreciation as I did a lot of digging for useful tips on this sub, thanks!
