I really like kefir but hate fizzy milk

I made some kefir from a culture powder I got at the bio market (you are suppose to use a bit of the batch for the next one) and I really hated the fizzyness in combination with the milk. But I like store bought kefir. I fermented it outside for 24 hours and left it in the fridge for half a day. I used goats milk. Any tips on how to get it not-fizzy?
