Cleaning/washing fruits for second ferment

Post Body
I have been using different fruits for second fermentation. But i recently wondered about how to clean them.
Can we do with tapwater? I dont think so.
Can we do with boiled water?
Do we have to soak them in baking soda for thorough washing?
Keeping in mind the general health, and the well being of kefir bacteria so that the pesticides do not kill them.
Also, is there a same type of subreddit for kombucha?? Because I am thinking of getting started on that too.
Thanks in advance.
