UPD: Almaty has internet now, yay!
I got Internet today after 4 days without it. Having none obviously less tragic than your children being shot on the streets, like it happened here, in Almaty. It's just fucking scary to be isolated, when you don't know what is actually going on, you have to sit with your lights off with blinds closed for days, all you hear is shots and stun grenades, aaaand it's ridiculous how much we rely on Internet.
Banking, transportation, entertainment, everything.
At the very first day I couldn't even contact with my sibling, to make sure that she is fucking alive. Then government gave us free time and sms to use till February, so at least we were able to talk. Today I called a couple of friends, this was such a relief.
When you can't buy a bread anywhere and don't remember remotely any proportions of flour etc to make your own. I laughed at out grandmas earlier who made tomato sauces/jams in bulk by themselves in summer, but now I want to learn how to actually do that and keep my recipes handwritten in a notebook! Or memorize it!
Couple of days before that YouTube was showing me videos about prepper pantry ideas (nothing new for people in post USSR lol), for some reason (conspiiiiiracyyy), so I watched that, went grocery shopping for beans, pasta, jugs of water and other stuff that doesn't go bad too quick.
Literally: I stocked my pantry up in the morning in supermarket called Magnum and in the evening this all began, seem like later some of the Magnums were broken into.
I don't have an old radio or TV, no VHS/DVD player, nothing, no hard disk with movies. I was desperate for ANY type of content, so I read actual books I had around.
Don't know what is the purpose of this post, I just want to say Hi to the world and feel less isolated, I guess.
