Any advice on patching a large hole on the deck of a plastic kayak? I inherited a west marine sit on top and it looks like someone cut a hole into the top of the stern decking- maybe to accommodate a trolling motor mount. Its a sizable hole (maybe about the area of 2 large flattened palms) with a rounded triangular shape. I have looked for plastic weld kits and haven’t found much. I am considering using silicone caulk to seal a heavy plasticized tarp material over the hole.
