Im going on a trip to colorado soon and was thinking about bringing my kayaks. Im not super into the hobby but enjoy a relaxing river float (anywhere from short 2-3 hrs to a longer 6-8 hr). I have some cheaper sit on top kayaks i got from walmart several years back that have worked great for the calmer rivers in my area.
I know colorado is a big destination for whitewater and was wondering if id be fine on most rivers with what I have? Does anyone have recommendations on scenic river stretches that are calmer? So far ive heard theres a river that feeds into radium springs thats nice and the same for green mountain reservoir. Are those good suggestions?
Alternatively, should i opt for just renting once there?
Thanks for any info!
