Hey guys, just picked up an 06 Vulcan 900. I’ve been driving at the last couple days and I’m sure it needs some work. My first issue is the transmission. It is very hard to shift from gear to gear to the point where I feel like I’m gonna break the shifter rod. Was wondering if there was an easy maintenance thing to do to solve that problem. The other thing that I have is, I’m having a hard time telling what gear I’m in so I’ll think that I’m in first and I’m in second and so when I stole the bike because I tried to go I have to then try to figure out in traffic how to get it back into first, so I was thinking about getting one of these shifter indicators. As you can see the instructions say to find the DLC I don’t have the manual. I’ve tried to find a four plug somewhere. I’m not seeing it. Can anybody help me out? Does somebody know where I can find the manual to download online? I know there’s a lot and I’m sure there’s gonna be a ton more. I’m just not familiar with bikes that are fuel injected.
