Post Body

Hi,

I have a friend with a racing kart who wants me to come along on track days. I have a bunch of questions.

  1. Is there a good school for a beginner in the Inland Empire?

  2. I need a helmet. My friend tells me I need a neck brace. Is there a kind of neck brace that is recommended? Anything else? I don’t mind spending money on safety equipment.

  3. I was looking for track days and cannot seem to find clubs hosting any. Maybe it’s because it’s November?FWIW, Apple Valley Speedway is pretty close. Any recommendations would be great.

If I can turn decent lap times after regular attendance at track days, I will probably want to do local racing. But, that’s an uncertainty.

I’m a former amateur bicycle racer, so speed, corners and close quarters is pretty normal.

Thanks for reading.
