If there's nothing else everybody can agree on, I found the video evidence that was played during Kerry Roberts' testimony yesterday a great reminder.
In a blizzard from inside a car, it's hard to see. The snow is driving from all directions, headlights intensely illuminate one thing, and shadow the thing next to it. It's just the worst possible visibility to see everything around you with any clarity.
But not in a vehicle - like the people leaving the "after party" - you put your head down with driving snow stinging your eyes, and go as fast as possible in the direction you're headed, towards your vehicle and then you're focused on trying to negotiate the difficult surface.
Whatever you believe about what happened, there is so much reasonable reason about why those present that night and passersby didn't see much of note outside.
